Sims 3 Wild Horses

In addition to the domesticated horses you can buy and breed, and the unicorns (more on those later), the Pets expansion pack will also add a small herd of wild horses to your town. These herds seem to hold steady at between 3 and 5 horses, and they also seem to follow the standard story progression, with horses dying of old age, and repopulating by having foals.

Fumble Drill - Hawks Linkage

I/O:  Matthew Heuett says The Run Is Back.  He does a nice job with some game pics, showing that zone run blocking

.... in its simplest form calls for the o-line to turn and run to one side or the other, as though they were cars on a railroad track, and any defenders who try to move across that track are blocked and taken along for the ride.  The farther the o-line is able to push the defense sideways, the more likely the run is going to be successful.  (Just so you have a point of reference, by the time the running back crosses the line of scrimmage, the zone block should have pushed the defensive tackles past where the offensive tackle was lined up at the beginning of the play.)

 .....

Um, okay, sounds logical, but can you football fans explain whether lines try this against players like Albert Haynesworth, Dan Hampton, or (in college) Steve Emtman?

Early Look at the Sims 3 Unleashed (Pets) Expansion

The next expansion pack is due out this October. (Doesn't that seem like forever from now? Rest assured, you'll turn around and it will be here in the blink of an eye!) This one is their version of Pets, which I know is going to make a lot of hard core Pets fanatics happy. I know of at least two people who have continued to play Sims 2 all this time, just because it offered pets.

Young Girls Stuffed For Beauty in Mauritania

As annoying (and, yes, unhealthy, and even life-destroying in many cases) as it is that our culture demands a size zero in order for one to be considered beautiful, some cultures may be just as or more disturbing in their beauty trends. You might have heard about body mutilation to appear more beautiful (or to ensure a girl will not cheat on her husband, in the event of female genital mutilation), or about skin bleaching to appear whiter (the contrast of our Western tradition of tanning).

Amy Winehouse & Pee...Wee

By anonymous (not verified) | 8/16/10 6:59pm |

Well, this is an oldy - but a goody... well grossy...

Im a huge fan of Amy Winehouse. In fact I aspire to be like her someday. honestly, who wouldn't want to be under the infuence, semi-conscious, out of control, and rich? I guess I do not want to be exactly like her though - I mean she does do and say some pretty bizarro things, but I like to think of them as British and "charming"... sometimes.
