In the Mood for Some Middle Eastern Food

When you’re next planning a date, consider a nice Middle Eastern restaurant as your destination of choice. People are rapidly falling in love with this cuisine and New Orleans has quite a few places that excel when it comes to cooking it up. Lebanon’s Café is a quaint little spot that has become a favorite among New Orleans residents. If you prefer quality over atmosphere, this might be the place for you.

Think Tank, the 7-run Third Inning

.

Gordon Gross:

A bunt, a broken bat infield single/error, a multi-hopper that found a hole, and a chop off the mound. Paxton can't really do more. All the balls in play stretched end to end wouldn't reach the CF fence. And yet 2 runs are in.

.

Similarly, a man named Michael Gerardi was once contentedly burping his way out of a New Orleans restaurant when a robber decided to walk up and shoot him in the face.  But at least the wrong man was convicted for it.  With Paxton's five unearned runs, there was no suspect to be found.  Unless you count Willie, of course.  Personally I'll go with Gordon's "CF fence" line.

In Cornelius McGillicuddy's day, they used to call it "a game of inches."  Nowadays we are more urbane:  we speak of probabilities, BIPs and xFIPs.

A Couple of Fun Things for the End of April

The month may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of interesting things to do in New Orleans during these final weeks. Check out these two events and see if one of them strikes your fancy.

Bill Burr - Saenger Theatre - April 23rd

If some comedy is what you’re looking for, then search no further than Burr’s performance coming up next week. He has a relatable brand of comedy that really connects with his audience, so pretty much anyone can enjoy a night of watching him perform.
