Where to Be to Watch the NYC Marathon

The New York City Marathon is almost here and for those that want to participate without actually running, watching the event is the best way to go. But finding a good spot is always a bit of a pain. Luckily, I’ve done a little research and found a few spots that you might want to check out. Lafayette Avenue is the spot to go if you want a lively crowd of neighborhood locals that treat the marathon like a party. You’re bound meet some new people as you enjoy the race. Or if you prefer something quieter, try staking out a claim on Bedford Avenue.

Date night in Louisiana

Luckily there are romantic and wonderful restaurants all throughout Louisiana. Once you find that special someone (check out the Louisiana singles on our site!) try one of these gems for your next dinner date.

This can make it tough to find someone, if your local selection is limited, and many people are reluctant to date outside their neighborhood. And once you find someone, there is the challenge of trying to find a place nearby that will be great for date night.

Here are three St. Louis restaurants that are worth the extra drive:

Hotel Aida Opera - Paris, France

Hotel Aida Opera is a beautiful hotel that offers comfort without too much decadence.  It is located within a traditional old building right in the heart of Paris’s downtown, which means it’s close to anywhere a couple might want to visit during their romantic outing.  Amenities include most of what one would expect during a vacation and they also provide a kosher breakfast available every day of the year.  From this great spot, one can easily walk or catch a taxi to any number of famous shopping locations, such as Galeries Lafayette and the Printemp
