China is one of three worlds that was introduced with the World Adventures expansion pack. The most distinctive thing Shang Simla brings to the table is the Martial Arts skill. You can buy skill books at the bookstore, and buy two Martial Arts objects (the training dummy and the board-breaking set) from the general store.
If you have the World Adventures expansion pack, you have no doubt encountered two mysteries in France:
1. Where is the Eiffel Tower?
2. Where can I find special fruit?
In the Case of the Missing Eiffel Tower, it's an understandable question. The tower graces all of the marketing materials for World Adventures, including graphics on the website, on the DVD case for the game itself, and on the loading screen when your Sim is travelling there.
I'm doing the Crazy 8s challenge from Carl's Sims Site, and so far the only remaining item which is defeating me is the Glowy butterfly from France.
Glowy butterflies can spawn anywhere, just like all the other collectibles. In fact, I read one report somewhere from someone who had captured a Glowy butterfly at the frog pond in France! This pond is surrounded by about a dozen spawn points, and one of them just happened to cough up a Glowy butterfly.
Mummitomium is found exclusively in Egypt. (Obviously, you need the World Adventures expansion pack in order to collect it.) Several challenges online require that you get some quantity of Mummitomium, and two smelted ingots are required to complete one of the in-world Adventures as well. But where can you find it?
How come I keep going to France, buy many nectar makers and wine storage things and then I get home and have nothing? I checked my sims inventory but see nothing. Could it be somewhere else...or is this an annoying glitch?
Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew are taking it on the runway. In “The Fashion Disaster” by Carolyn Keene the girls get to be part of a fashion show. River Heights is having the first ever fashion show for dogs to raise money for the Rollover Rescue animal shelter. All the dogs in the show will be dressed in the latest fashions by a local dog clothing artist and to top it all off, the star of the show is none other than the famous doggy-diva Lola.
I've been chewing over this issue ever since I was alerted to this post on the Racialicious blog. Another Sims 3 player found a ridiculously racist pre-made family (the Bakers) in Twinbrook.
Ambitions has introduced a number of new traits, but so far I have only explored Eco-Friendly very far. When I first saw it on the list I thought, "Neat!" Because I am eco-friendly, myself. But after having played an Eco-Friendly Sim for a while, I am not as enamored of this trait.
