Are modern moms less busy than moms of the 1960s?
In the recent journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings, it was revealed that moms are more sedentary than they were in the 1960s. Back in 1965, moms spent 14.5 more hours per week being active than sedentary, while in 2010 they spent 3.8 more hours being sedentary instead.

Wood Sprite and I have a lot of fun with empty cans. Every once in a while, I let her buy a can of Scooby Doo soup, which is not great for her but she loves. We also are notorious for collecting cans, soda bottles, milk jugs and other containers from relatives to use in our mess making. So we accumulate plenty of recyclables for our madness.

Yesterday was in the 80s, but before that we had a couple of really fall-ish days of weather that are wrecking havoc on my allergies—and making my heart leap with anticipation at the same time. I just love the fall! I used to love the spring in Missouri, too, but lately our springs are so brief that there’s barely a season to enjoy before summer takes over.

D.J. Peterson appears to be done for the season after being hit in the face by a pitch. He was taken to the hospital for X-rays, but we don't seem to have any more reports than that.
