Rumor has it (MLBTR) that Dombrowski might be short on prospects to get a top starter in trade. Wonder if #Miami might like the prospects #Boston will trade if you added Deej to the Sawx stock to get Travis. Essentially do a 3-way with #Boston getting Jose Fernandez, #Miami getting a BUNCH of prospects and players (Elias and DJ and ?+ from the Ms), and the Ms getting Ozuna and Travis. That would rank with JackZ's big trade to get Guti and others. And, in fact, each team would probably end up stronger.

I believe when #Miami sees what they can get for Ozuna with the Boras issues and the reported attitude problems, that if Dipoto offers Elias and Flores and one of the relievers the Ms will have to cut anyway, they will take it. And I think Dipoto will handle Boras and Servais/Bogar/Acta/Cruz/Cano will have Ozuna smiling and slugging again. And he has the perfect skill set to be a "swing" RF/CF to cover both for Martin's problems VL and Cruz's problems with large RFs.

I'd like to see the Ms clear some 40-man space with a trade. Jose Ramirez and Ramon Flores are both out of options and don't have clear roles for next year, yet have 40-man spots. Maybe some rebuilding team might have use for them. If you packaged them with Elias, would #Miami be interested? Flores could go into LF, Yelich move to CF, and voila, Ozuna is replaced; and #Miami gets a starter and fireballing reliever as well. And 2 spots get cleared for Kivlehan, Marlette, Pizzano, et al. Rather that than just DFA'ing guys.

Ozuna makes even more sense to me now - use him in RF normally, but in smaller parks against LH, move him to CF and put Cruz in RF with Guti in LF and Montero at DH. That covers Martin's weakness against LHers and keeps the OF athletic enough for just about anybody. Both Martin and Ozuna have some attitude issues to work out, but Bogar-Edgar-Cruz-Cano & Co. should get those in hand. Offer Elias and Flores (who is out of options) and see if #Miami will bite.

#Miami still has IF issues, so the Elias+ could be DJ if it's then Ozuna+ coming back, or maybe Romero might interest them also, which would clear another 40-man spot. If they'd give up Ozuna and Chris Reed (LH reliever who was with the Dodger org) for Elias, DJ, Romero, and a young pitcher (Peterson?, Cochran-Gill?), I think I'd do it.
