I've always been skeptical.  He's had pro-bowl caliber years, and took the Hawks to the superbowl - behind an exception O-line.

So I've kind of put him more in the 'above average' category in my mind...  Whereas the Seattle media would seem to put him more in the '1 notch below HOF' category.  IOW, just below Brady, and Manning...

But one thing I will say, is Huard and Millen both seem to like how the dude plays an aaaaawful lot.  Like you mention, Huard backed up Manning, and Millen backed up Elway and Aikman.  So I figure their opinions are a bit sounder than my own. : )

Interesting read tho, that the new coaching staff's schemes seem to take advantage of Hass' abilities more.  If so, this should be a fun year.

Brees, Peyton Manning, and Brady set the bar awfully high.

But as far as being next level, Rivers, Eli Manning, Romo, Aaron Rodgers and three or four others, Hasselbeck was in that category in 2007.   He had 4000 yards and 28 TDs vs 12 picks, without much of a running game.

I don't say he's a dominant QB, but the #5-10 QB's in the NFL can certainly take over games...

Especially in football...

Randy Moss is maybe the best WR in the league regardless of where he is, but in a great system with a great QB he's off the hook...

Hass with an elite O-line is a pro bowl quarterback.  If the new coaching staff can tweak things a bit to make the system work for Hass better, with an average O-line, then maybe that puts him back in the pro bowl.

That's why baseball can be sliced-and-diced so easily by us nerds behind the monitors... the players' performances are so isolated from other players'...

In the NFL, any RB's or WR's or QB's performance is really more like "Seattle Rushing" performance or "Seattle Passing" performance...
